Things change, especially here in Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area, which are known for rapid change.
This website began as a forum for people interested in producing quality content for public access television. The idea was, and still is, that great video content attracts large audiences – even if the venue is public access television.
Let’s face it, though. Traditional media, including public access TV, is being swept away by the internet. Newspapers and magazines are all but gone. Network television is not far behind. Basically, every website today can, and should be, a TV channel. So, let’s focus our efforts on video made for the internet…
What do we need to make it in the brave new world of internet television?
Number one in my opinion is a way to find each other and work together effectively – like a team. So, making this website a clearing house for people who have talent and skills to offer, and for people who need those talents and skills, is one direction. What do you think?
I submit that our objective should be to create great content, and place it where people can consume it, primarily the internet.
The name Bay Team Video is apropos. To date, this website has been focused on people in the San Francisco and Silicon Valley area that want to produce video, and offer it to an appreciative audience. The talent here is amazing: producers, directors, animators, screen writers, movie makers, special effects experts, promoters and PR people.
Movie and video creation is a “team sport”. So, how do we together leverage all our talents?
Do you need help to make your project a success? Can you share what you know with others who would like to learn? Do you want to give your time in exchange for experience? Is there an Oscar in your future? How can we help each other?
